Introduction

The Agricultural Economics department is one of the smaller departments in the Institute, having employed six to ten people over the past ten years, including one technical assistant. The program directions of the department are defined in the long term, and the work is mainly concentrated in the following subject and research areas:

  • monitoring and analysis of the state and development of agriculture, analysis of agricultural policies,
  • monitoring and estimation of production costs for individual agricultural products,
  • development of modern methods of economic analysis in agriculture,
  • spatial and environmental analyzes,
  • analyzes related to structural policies and rural development measures.
