The Agricultural Institute of Slovenia adopted its Gender Equality Plan (NES-KIS) in early 2022 with the support of the institute’s management.
To improve gender equality, we have prepared an action plan that includes systematic data monitoring, promoting equal opportunities in promotion and decision-making, and measures to reconcile work and private life. We will also incorporate the gender perspective into research and communication, and implement measures against sexual harassment.
The plan focuses on the following key thematic areas:
- gender balance in management and decision-making positions,
- gender balance in the career advancement of employees,
- integration of the gender dimension into communication and research,
- creating working conditions that will enable a balance between professional and private life,
- measures to prevent all forms of violence, including gender-based violence and sexual harassment.
The institute’s management has appointed a working group on gender equality to monitor the implementation of NES-KIS, with the following tasks:
- to establish, implement, monitor and evaluate the gender equality plan, and to provide practical support and tools to those involved in its implementation,
- to cooperate with and involve stakeholders at all levels to ensure the implementation of the measures,
- to raise awareness of the benefits of gender equality,
- to assess progress on gender equality within the organisation.
