Agrochemical Laboratory

The Agrochemical Laboratory is an integral part of the Central Laboratory of the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia. It features highly qualified experts, modern equipment, and long-standing experience in conducting quality analyses of soil, animal feed, food products (honey, meat, fruit, vegetables, and cereals), fertilizers, plant protection products, and contaminants.

Areas of work

In the Agrochemical Laboratory, we perform analyses of:

  • Soil,
  • Animal feed,
  • Honey,
  • Phytopharmaceutical product,
  • Pesticide residues,
  • Fertilizers and
  • Plant samples.

Services are provided for:

  • The Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Food Safety and Veterinary Sector and Plant Protectio
  • The Inspectorate for Agriculture, Forestry, Hunting and Fisheries
  • Natural and legal persons
  • Professional tasks and projects for internal and external clients

Accreditation

As part of the Central Laboratory, the laboratory has been accredited according to the SIST EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard since 2002. Initial accreditation was granted by the French accreditation body COFRAC. In 2012, accreditation was transferred to the national accreditation body, Slovenian Accreditation (Slovenska akreditacija). The laboratory’s accreditation number is LP-020. As an integral part of the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, the laboratory also maintains an established Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001:2015. Samples can be submitted to the reception office of the Agrochemical Laboratory every workday between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM or send them by mail.
