Summary of the position
We are looking for the candidate who can join KIS's core team of specialists in designing, implementation, and operation of efficient and cost-effective breeding programs for different agricultural species on a national and international levels, and be actively involved in several key aspects of the KIS’s scientific outputs. The position is located in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Some international traveling may be anticipated.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Interested candidates should submit the following:
1. A cover letter summarizing of your qualifications and experience, indicating how you meet the expected set of skills and competencies for the position and your motivation for applying;

4. A list of publications you authored, particularly those relevant to the area of genetic resources, plant breeding, and plant genetics;
5. A list of projects that you have managed/coordinated or collaborated in, with a description of your roles;

The Agricultural Institute of Slovenia invites applications for a position that leads to a long term appointment at the Crop Science Department, starting in spring, 2020.
The successful candidate will be working with a number of agricultural crops (mainly potatoes, cereals, grain legumes, …) within the section of genetic diversity, crop genetics, and biotechnology. In particular, you will be associated with projects studying responses of plants to biotic and abiotic stresses.
an exciting work environment combining agricultural sciences with plant molecular biology and physiology. Research work within a network of collaborating partners from Slovenia, South East, and other European countries.
Formalities and salary range
The appointment shall be in accordance with the collective labour agreement between the Slovenian Ministry of Finance and the Slovenian Confederation of Professional Associations. Salary depends on seniority as agreed between the Slovenian Ministry of Finance and the Slovenian Confederation of Professional Associations.
