Introduction
The Central Laboratory is organized into two subunits: the Agrochemical Laboratory and the Enological Laboratory.
The Agrochemical Laboratory conducts analyses of soil, feed, honey, fertilizers, plant protection products (PPPs), and PPP residues for both internal clients (within the scope of professional tasks and projects) and external clients. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food has appointed us as an official laboratory for specific analyses of PPPs, feed, and soil, as well as the National Reference Laboratory for organochlorine pesticides in the field of feed. The Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning has authorized the laboratory to perform specific soil analyses as part of operational soil status monitoring. We also carry out the evaluation of active substance dossiers, PPPs, and biocides for the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector and Plant Protection, and the Chemicals Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
The Enological Laboratory focuses on the analysis of wine and spirits for internal clients within European projects and domestic research and professional tasks, as well as for external clients. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food has appointed us as an authorized organization for the evaluation of must, wine, and other grape and wine products (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 192/2000).
