On Tuesday, 18th of June 2019 the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia hosted a visit of professors and students from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna. First they visited IC Jablje, where they were greeted by the head of the center, dr. Blaž Germšek. Their visit was started with introducing potato breeding program by dr. Peter Dolničar following with common bean breeding program presentation given by dr. Barbara Pipan. They continued by viewing field experiments on cereals and corn led by dr. Aleš Kolmanič. The visit at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia was rounded up in Ljubljana with the visits of the different laboratories. At the Crop Science Department, the went through the genetic laboratory with dr. Barbara Pipan; the tissue culture laboratory was presented by Beti Komatar. They also visited the ISTA accredited seed laboratory (part of the Official Certification Service); work within this lab was presented by Marinka Kregar. Under the leadership of dr. Lovro Sinkovič they was introduced into agro-chemical and oenological laboratory.
