Regional wine with recognised geographical indication can be put on a market as “not-bottled” or “bottled” wine. Certificates for “not-bottled” regional wine with recognised geographical indication has a limited duration period of 6 months, while a decision on “bottled” wine is permanent.
SAMPLING:
Samples of regional wines with recognised geographical indication can be sampled and delivered by the producer themselves to the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia. They can also be collected from our authorised representative at wine producers address if previously arranged (phone +386 1 280 51 60). For every sample, the producer must send:
at least 3 bottles with a content of at least 0.75 l,
wine identification number (from the product registration),
volume in litres and the marking of the wine container.
A RECEPTION SHEET must be filled out when submitting a sample for wine analysis.
OBLIGATORY ANALYSES:
Physico-chemical analyses: alcohol strength (%vol), total dry extract (g/l), extract without sugar (g/l), residual sugar (g/l), relative density at 20°C (-), total acids (g tartaric acid/l), volatile acids (g acetic acids/l), free sulphur dioxide (mg/l).
Regional wine with recognised geographical indication must meet the minimum/maximum requirements regarding physico-chemical parameters and must also be sensory evaluated with at least 14.1 points according to modified Buxbaum’s 20-point method.
